Chemicals can react various ways with different types of sprayers. It is commonly thought that a sprayer with Viton seals is the most resistant option available and will withstand just about anything. Unfortunately, it is not that simple. Acids, Alkaline’s, Petroleum Solvents, and Alcohols all require different types of sprayers.
It is not just the seals that need to be considered when selecting a sprayer. The material used for the structural components such as the head unit and plunger need to be considered. As a general rule, use the following guidelines.
AN IMPORTANT NOTE – For aggressive solvents such as wax and grease removers that contain Xylene, use the EPOCA PA sprayers to prevent the structural components of the heads from swelling.
