The New 1 Pad Buff System from Workquip

Workquip is excited to introduce into Australia the 1 Pad Polishing system.

The 1 pad system consists of 150mm form fitted hollow shape pads that easily fit on to a tri density backing plate. By simply looking at the design and construction of the backing plate you can tell this system is different than anything on the market.

Most polishing pads get their cushioning and flexibility from the pad itself with the backing plate providing nothing other than a fixing mechanism to the polishing tool. This is the reason why conventional buff pads are so thick. The 1 pad system gets the flexibly and cushioning from the backing plate itself which means the pads are made up of 65% less material than normal buff pads. Less material means less waste and lower costs.

The full radial design makes it easy to buff over the entire pads surface including safely on the edge of the pad. It also makes it simple to transition between vertical and horizontal buffing surfaces. The foam pads use a closed cell structure that helps to reduce cutting compound wastage ensuring the compound stays at the surface of the pad where it can cut rather than engrained in the substrate where it will be lost.

Although the pads are very durable, their cost makes them affordable enough to be a single use pad. This will eliminate cross compound, dirt and dust contamination as well as the labour costs associated with pad cleaning. Ultimately this helps to cut costs and reduce risks.
